So, here we are again. A new season beckoning, all the teams have their new toys out of the box and are merrily testing away in Jerez. Notable changes, obviously the front end of most cars has come in for plenty of criticism/ comment, personally I think they'll grow on us. The notable exception seems to be the McLaren MP4-27. Have they missed a trick or are they going really give the RB8 a run for its money?

Talking of the RB8, Red Bulls 2012 car, designer Adrian Newey states that the slit in the nose bodywork is only to cool the drivers!! Mmmm do we believe that and more to the point do the other teams, are we going to see so
E sand-bagging at Jerez and then the RB8 storming away with another title?

Questions galore this time of the year, I have like most of you have no real answers at the moment but the prospect of this coming season unfolding is one not to be missed, with the tweak in regulations, new look cars and a smattering of new young drivers across the grid March 16th can't come quick enough.

Just a quick belated name check, many thanks to Gary Marshal for organising a very enjoyable and successful trip to the Donington collection way back at the beginning of January, it was great to meet some old friends, Andreas, Gary, Jane and to meet new friends and twitter followers Alex Goldschmidt Martyn Dalton and Trinnifer. Hope to see you all again soon.

This blog is now officially up n running again.:)

Boring time at the mo really, no real racing on. Watched V8 supercars a couple of times but need a good fix of F1 or GT racing to cure the off season blues.
On the horizon though is a trip to the GP Collection at Donnington in January.

Britcar24hr 2011

Got proper dictracted, through the night, but suffice it to say it was great racing, 3 cars battling iand 4th with the Aquila CR1 storming off into the sunset. That was until it buried itself in the gravel at Vale, drive shaft broken. No 6 car dropped back 19 laps whilst repair was done allowing the 2 F430's of messrs Mc Inerney and Gamski to fight it out with the Moslers. As daybreak came there was nt too much in it. then the No1 car of Witt Gamski devloped a cracked manifold and geometry problems and retired on safety grounds.
That left it to the Mosler of Top cat racing/ Strata21 to fight for the lead with the F430 of the Mc Inerney boys, it was nip n tuck right up til about 2 1/2 hours out when the Mosler's throttle sturk open and ploughed it into the tyre wall at Brooklands. That was the end really, the Mc Inerney boys went on to win by a healthy 13 laps completing 573 laps in 24 hrs.
Well done to the No2 car of Sean and Michael Mc Inerney on a sterling drive and a very well deserved win.
See ya there next year for sure.
